CIBSE Award Win Proves XBC Range is Top of the Game
CIBSE Award Win
March 2014
The new XBOXER XBC range beat off strong competition to be named winner in the Energy Saving Product of the Year category to the delight of the entire company, but it was Nuaire’s engineering team, led by Technical Innovation Director Colin Biggs, who had the most to celebrate at last weeks' award ceremony at Grosvenor House in London.
The XBC Range answers the industry’s need for enhanced heat recovery ventilation that meets the latest changes in building regulation and stringent noise requirements and, crucially, reduces energy consumption for the end user. Recognition from the CIBSE Award judges in what is considered a highly competitive category has proved that the XBC range is addressing some of the issues.
Since its inception in 1966, the Nuaire name has become synonymous with innovation and quality, manufacturing its range of commercial and domestic ventilation products from its headquarters in Caerphilly, South Wales. The XBOXER XBC range was launched in January 2013 and has been in high demand for school building projects where energy reduction is a chief driver in the choice of services.
Technical Director Colin Biggs explained: “We set ourselves the almost impossible challenge in designing a new heat recovery range that was smaller, quieter, more energy-efficient and easier to install than the current market offering. The XBC Range has exceeded the brief and is proving to be a favourite with schools specifiers who are concerned with energy reduction with guaranteed performance.
“We are elated to receive this mark of approval from the CIBSE judging panel, and it’s a huge pat on the back for the engineering team that have developed this product range. Without giving too much away, if our customers think the XBC range is good, they are sure to be impressed with what we have coming out next year.”
