Nuaire wins Collaboration & Leadership Award at ASCP Safety & Compliance Awards 2025
We are absolutely delighted to have received the Collaboration & Leadership Award at this year’s ASCP Safety & Compliance Awards!
The Association of Safety and Compliance Professionals (ASCP) is the leading community for safely managing social housing assets and wider facilities management. Its aim is to provide a voice for social housing professionals to raise safety and compliance standards, helping keep residents safe.
This is the first time Nuaire has entered the Collaboration & Leadership Award and we couldn’t be happier to have won in this important category which seeks to reward those collaborating with other organisations to improve safety and compliance standards, leading by example in the sector.
Our winning award entry was based on Tŷ Gwyrddfai in Penygroes, which is the first decarbonisation hub of its kind. Officially opened in November 2024, it has been created to ensure that Wales will be at the forefront of the decarbonisation agenda.
Tŷ Gwyrddfai is a collaborative project between multiple organisations:
• Adra, north Wales’s largest social housing provider
• Bangor University, that has developed a cutting-edge lab facility that can simulate future weather patterns against which to test construction materials for resilience, energy efficiency, and future climate adaptability
• Busnes@LlandrilloMenai’s Centre for Infrastructure, Skills and Technology (CIST) that delivers the specialist on-site training in purpose built pods at Tŷ Gwyrddfai, to deliver tailored decarbonisation and green construction skills to young people and existing members of the construction workforce.
• Nuaire
Our contribution to this ground breaking facility has been to create an NICEIC residential ventilation training facility on site, fully equipped with Nuaire product, including a working MRXBOX Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) to provide customers with the opportunity for hands-on domestic ventilation system training and raise awareness about damp and mould issues, to improve the quality of life for residents.

The launch of the Nuaire training pod at Tŷ Gwyrddfai is the culmination of a long history of collaboration between Nuaire and Adra which, in recent years, has seen Nuaire’s participation in Adra’s The All Wales Framework to deliver a one-stop shop for building materials, and its successor, Ffrâm24. Ffrâm24 continues to offer comprehensive procurement solutions for building materials and associated services, but with a focus on directing investment into Welsh companies and ensuring that the social value generated remains within Wales.
Tŷ Gwyrddfai and Nuaire share not only a history but also core values - innovation, sustainability, and community - that have shaped both our local communities and our industry. We both have a deep commitment to the people of Wales - a nation that has long been known for its industrious spirit and close-knit communities.
Nuaire and representatives from Adra attended the ASCP Safety & Compliance Awards on 15th May at ICC Wales. The announcement of the awarding of the Collaboration & Leadership Award to Nuaire and its partners in this project was made in front of hundreds of professionals from across the housing and compliance sectors, and we genuinely couldn’t be prouder of this achievement.
