Celebrating Nuaire’s Award-Winning Success in 2025
We Are Proud to Reflect on a Year of Outstanding Recognition
With much to celebrate in 2025, we are proud to reflect on a year of outstanding recognition for Nuaire, marked by multiple award wins and high-profile shortlists across the HVAC, sustainability and skills development sectors. These achievements highlight not only the technical excellence of our products, but also the breadth of our commitment to decarbonisation, education and long-term social value.
Leading the Industry on Embodied Carbon Reduction
Nuaire secured two major award wins in 2025, receiving the Low Carbon Impact Award at the Heating & Ventilation News Awards and the HVAC Initiative of the Year Award at the Heating & Ventilating Review Awards. Both accolades recognised our leadership in tackling embodied carbon - one of the most pressing environmental challenges facing the built environment today.
Over the past two years, Nuaire has made bold, industry-leading changes to the way our ventilation products are designed and manufactured. We became the first UK ventilation manufacturer to adopt XCarb® low-carbon emissions recycled steel, while also transitioning key product ranges to 100% recycled ABS plastics. Together, these initiatives have already removed more than 2,000 tonnes of embodied carbon from our product portfolio, all without compromising performance, durability or quality.
Our progress in this area has also been recognised beyond the HVAC sector. In 2025, Nuaire was shortlisted at both the Insider Made in Wales Awards and the highly prestigious National Sustainability Awards, competing alongside some of the UK’s largest and most influential organisations. As a manufacturer rooted in South Wales, we were proud to represent both Welsh industry and the manufacturing sector on a national stage.
Recognition for Skills, Education and Social Impact: Tŷ Gwyrddfai
Alongside product innovation, Nuaire’s contribution to skills development and workforce transformation was recognised through our involvement in Tŷ Gwyrddfai, a landmark decarbonisation and training initiative in North Wales.
Tŷ Gwyrddfai has been established to ensure that North Wales is at the forefront of the decarbonisation agenda while addressing critical skills shortages within the construction and housing sectors. It is a collaborative project bringing together Adra, North Wales’s largest social housing provider; Bangor University; and Busnes@LlandrilloMenai’s Centre for Infrastructure, Skills and Technology (CIST), which delivers specialist, on-site training through purpose-built learning pods.
Working closely with the project partners, we delivered a fully equipped and accredited NICEIC residential ventilation training facility within one of the training pods. The facility features live, working ventilation systems including an MRXBOX MVHR system, a Drimaster-Eco PIV system for tackling condensation and damp, and a Cyfan extract fan designed specifically for the social housing market. By providing hands-on access to live systems in a controlled environment, the facility enables contractors and housing professionals to develop critical installation and commissioning skills.
The initiative has been recognised by a number of award schemes and we were pleased to be shortlisted in the Make UK Manufacturing, Manufacturing Impact award, BESA Learning & Development Initiative of the Year Award, and Collaboration of the Year in both the Heating & Ventilation News and Heating & Ventilating Review Awards.
Looking Forward
As we look back on an exceptional 2025, these achievements represent far more than a collection of awards—they reflect a business in momentum, driven by purpose, innovation and collaboration.
With 2026 marking Nuaire’s 60th anniversary, we enter this milestone year with an exciting pipeline of new developments, continued investment in low-carbon innovation, and an even stronger focus on skills, education and social impact. Building on six decades of engineering expertise, Nuaire remains committed to shaping healthier buildings, supporting sustainable communities and leading the ventilation industry into its next chapter.
