Nuaire Celebrates 50 Years of Innovation!

We Reach Half A Century

May 2016

As ventilation manufacturer Nuaire reaches half a century, Nuaire Managing Director, Mark Huxtable shares the secret of their success.

We hope our customers weren’t fooled by our ‘Gold Fan’ advert in H&V News. It’s not real, but Nuaire’s Golden Jubilee definitely is. Nuaire was officially incorporated in April 1966 and has grown and flourished ever since. We have worked hard to forge a reputation for innovation in the ventilation industry, and today the Nuaire name is known for excellent customer service and high quality, British-made products. From the success of the ‘Tack 41’ extract fan, originally marketed to local shops, and the invention of Positive Input Ventilation with the enduring Drimaster, through to the launch of our award-winning, energy-saving XBC, Nuaire has shaped the industry with ground-breaking products for five decades. We continue to set the standard in clean air and energy-efficient ventilation products.

So what’s our secret? How have we remained buoyant while the wider construction industry has been shaken by economic uncertainty? I’m a firm believer that our philosophy in investment is the answer. We don’t shy away from investment into new product development, our salesforce, our manufacturing facilities and in the latest technology, all of which help us deliver first class service to our customers. Through this long-term approach and investment in many facets of the business, Nuaire has attracted and retained a loyal, highly-skilled workforce which is the key attribute that often allows organisations to set themselves apart. We have recently refurbished our offices and named the meeting rooms after eight members of staff that have each served more than 40 years continuous service with the company.

I joined Nuaire in 1988 and have witnessed exponential growth and innovation. I’m extremely proud that we continue to lead the ventilation design field in innovation and customer service. We’re still driven by the same pioneering spirit that set the wheels in motion back in 1966, and we’re even more passionate about improving air quality. Our 550-strong workforce and our loyal customers can look forward to many more years of innovation.

As we celebrate this very special milestone, it gives me real pleasure to announce that our year of celebrations has officially begun - watch this space for 50th anniversary activities!
