Sustainability is embedded into how we design products, manage our operations and support our customers

We recognise that ventilation manufacturers have a responsibility not only to improve indoor air quality, but also to reduce environmental impact across the full product lifecycle.

At our Caerphilly facility, we operate under strict environmental controls and have implemented wide-ranging initiatives to reduce waste and emissions. These include achieving zero waste to landfill through comprehensive recycling and energy-from-waste programmes, introducing advanced recycling stations across the site, reusing and responsibly recycling batteries, and investing in timber compaction systems that significantly reduce transport emissions. These actions contribute to measurable carbon savings while fostering a culture of accountability and pride among employees.

Looking ahead, we are committed to continuous improvement through science-based targets, supply-chain collaboration and design innovations that support circular economy principles, such as recyclability and design for disassembly. Sustainability for us is not a one-off project, but an ongoing journey that influences every decision we make.

In addition, we have successfully implemented a number of further sustainability indicatives including the implementation of a fully integrated management system under the requirements of PAS99. The system integrates our quality, occupational safety and environmental policies and procedures, avoiding duplication resulting in increased efficiency and creating further opportunities for improvement.

Product Innovation - XCarb®

Product innovation plays an equally important role. Nuaire was the first UK ventilation manufacturer to adopt XCarb® recycled and renewably produced steel in commercial air handling and heat recovery systems, delivering substantial embodied carbon reductions without compromising performance.

Drimaster-Eco

We have also transitioned high-volume residential products to 100% recycled plastics and continue to expand the use of lower-carbon materials across our portfolio. Transparent reporting through methodologies such as CIBSE TM65 enables customers to understand the embodied carbon of our products and make informed, responsible specification decisions.
