High Temperature Axials and VSDs CPD training
When EN12101-3, 2015, was updated and came into effect on 8th April 2017
The update allowed (for the first time) frequency converters to be used during a fire event. This enabled dual mode fans (those used for both day-to-day ventilation and high temperature smoke extraction) to be controlled by Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), even during fires.
Learning Objectives
• Explanation of EN12101-3, : Specification for powered smoke and heat exhaust ventilators.
• European Standard & Test Conditions.
• High Temperature fan design (Best Practice).
