EC-Link Intergration

Embedded electronics are foundational infrastructure in modern buildings, not just add-on components. As buildings move toward net-zero, smart operation, and grid interaction, embedded systems become the intelligent nervous system that makes everything adapt and optimised.

Connecting into the EcoSmart Classic data signal, the EC-Link interprets the EcoSmart Classic protocol and provides additional inputs as needed. The data is then relayed via the monocomms data signal to Acuity.

With an EC-Link integrated into the Ecosmart Classic network, additional enablers can activate ventilation without requiring the Modena Wall Controller. This setup can function as an extract ventilation unit linked to a PIR sensor, with the EC-Link supplying data to Acuity, including runtime, fault detection, and energy monitoring.

Single or Multiple Room Ventilation

Data Gathering

With an EC-Link integrated into the EcoSmart Classic network, additional enablers can activate ventilation without requiring the Modena Wall Controller. Single Room, Single Ventilation Unit

Equipped with an EC-Link and Modena wall controller, the EcoSmart Classic control bus delivers room temperature regulation and demand-controlled ventilation, including night- time cooling, to maximise energy savings.

Multiple Rooms, Single Ventilation Unit

The EC-Link enables a zonal network of devices, allowing a single XBOXER XBC+ MVHR unit to automatically modulate fan speeds for up to 6 individual rooms. Each room uses an EC-Link and Modena wall controller, with a Parent EC-Link directly controlling the XBOXER-XBC+. The EC-Link allows the use of modulating dampers in each of the ductwork to be controlled as well as separate heating or cooling control valves.
