British ventilation manufacturer, Nuaire has unveiled a series of higher duty extensions to its CIBSE award-winning XBOXER XBC range, now aimed at multi-room ventilation.
While the XBC 10-65 range of decentralised units is designed to serve one classroom or office, the new XBC 75-85 extension series of centralised systems will offer customers a higher duty – up to 1.5m3/s – capable of ventilating multiple rooms.
The extensions offer the same innovative features that have made the XBOXER XBC the fastest selling heat recovery range in the UK and earned it the title of Energy-Saving Product of the Year in the CIBSE Building Performance Awards 2014. The XBC design benefits from being smaller, quieter, more energy-efficient and easier to install than the current market offering.
The XBC 75-85 series offers both horizontal and vertical configurations and is still the smallest by duty on the market. Nuaire Commercial Product Manager, Caroline Radcliffe explained: “The new series has been designed to fit into plant rooms and roof tops and offers some great new features to aid installation and maintenance. Because the horizontal version lends itself to plant rooms particularly, it can be stacked on purpose built frames and also, if required, separated into three sections. Rigid pentapost construction with integral base frames fitted with slots can easily accommodate a standard forklift for easy manoeuvrability.”
Ms Radcliffe continued: “The new range is a duty extension of the XBC range so it still includes innovative features such as the segmented 100% bypass, counterflow heat exchanger which is up to 92%, lower energy efficiencies and Class L2 leakage. The controls offering also remains the same for the higher duty series. Customers can select from basic controls, Ecosmart ‘plug and play’, and Ecosmart2 powered by Trend which offers Bacnet IP. The vertical units have an internal control panel while the horizontal units have external control panels; both are very easy to access.”
The XBC 75-85 series comes with an extensive range of matched ancillaries including frost coils and silencer modules, dampers, weather terminals and a wide variety of filter sections. Customers can still benefit from the five year warranty on Ecosmart ranges, and have confidence in the quality of the product range which, like all Nuaire products, is manufactured in the UK.
The XBC range has recently been nominated for a Product Innovation Award in the Education Estates Awards 2014, and will be showcased at the forthcoming Education Estates Exhibition in Manchester on 11-12 November.
