Flatmaster 2000

Features & Benefits

  • Extremely low power consumption – as little as 8 watts.
  • Very low maintenance requirement (filter clean every 1-2 years).
  • Interchangeable, multi-positional, circular and rectangular inlet/outlet spigots for improved aesthetics and simpler installation.
  • Heater fitted in unit.
  • Manual boost switch available as standard.
  • Whisper quiet operation.
  • Significantly improves indoor air quality.
  • 3 year parts and labour warranty.

Redistributes heat from ceiling level

  • Input air is directed across the ceiling (usually in your hallway). This uses a scientific principle called the Coanda effect, which has the impact of mixing with the wasted warmer air that has risen above head height in your home. It therefore increases the efficiency of your heating system.

Highly effective filters

  • G3 grade, which means that they are so fine they will exclude pollen (great for hay fever sufferers) as well as the dust and grime of outside pollutants. Filters are very simply replaced/washed every 1 - 2 years.

Whisper quiet operation

  • Flatmaster uses a large fan running slowly. In this way any noise generated is minimal. For most of the time it is unlikely that you will be aware that your Flatmaster is operating other than a fresher feeling in your hallway caused by the movement of the incoming air.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is a Nuaire Flatmaster Whole House Ventilation Unit?
It is a small, surface mounted, air clearing/moving device that continuously inputs filtered fresh air into the dwelling from outside. The unit is small in size and measures 320 mm high x 485 mm long and a depth 160 mm.

  2. What does the unit do?
The unit will cure and/or prevent the problems associated with condensation in your home, providing a cleaner living environment for all occupants. The unit will prevent mould growth on walls, ceilings, furniture, clothes and curtains. The unit also eradicates the musty smells evident in homes with severe condensation problems.

  3. How does it work?
Simply and very efficiently. Outside air is drawn into the property where it is slightly warmed by the heat layer at the ceiling. This air is drawn into the unit, filtered and then ducted into a central area (typically the hallway) of the dwelling. As the air is supplied into the dwelling it mixes with the warmer air that naturally accumulates at ceiling level taking advantage of the heat from this warm air you have paid for but are not making use of. This tempered, fresh, clean air then continuously and gently dilutes, displaces and replaces the air within your home. The result is a home with a more pleasant and comfortable environment, free from condensation and dampness.

  4. How much does it cost to run?
The electrical consumption will be around two pence a day. When considering the advantages the unit will provide you and the other occupants, the running costs are insignificant and it should be remembered that the unit is making use of heat at ceiling level that would otherwise be lost.

  5. How do I operate the unit?
You don’t. The unit is completely automatic, and runs continuously.

  6. What maintenance is required for the unit?
Very little. The only maintenance required is the replacement or cleaning of the filter every 12 months to 2 years. Please contact your Housing Provider to arrange for this.

  7. How will I remember to clean the filter?
When the filter become dirty, the unit does not input as much air into the dwelling. Condensation and musty smells may become evident. We do recommend that a full service is carried out every 18 months, please contact our Customer Service Team on 08705 002 555

  8. How will I know if the unit is working?
The unit motor may be almost inaudible but you should notice a change of atmosphere in the hallway within a day or so. Within a few weeks any mould should start to dry out eventually becoming a grey powder which can be easily wiped clean. After 60 days your home will be a healthier environment and free from severe condensation dampness.

  9. How will I know if the unit is working?
If the unit appears to have stopped operating please contact out Customer Service Team on 08705 002 555.
