Nuaire Scoops Prestigious Industry Award
Caerphilly-based Nuaire, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of energy efficient ventilation systems, has won Air Movement Product of the Year at the prestigious H&V News Awards 2019.
Celebrating its Silver Anniversary, the Awards have been recognising and rewarding excellence in the HVAC and building services supply chain for 25 years. At a glitzy award ceremony hosted by Josh Widdecombe at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, Nuaire scooped the award in recognition of its efforts in developing the innovative Noxmaster – a system combining a powerful carbon filter with a strategy invented by Nuaire over 45 years ago, Positive Input Ventilation (PIV). The product was praised by the judges for the attention paid to indoor air quality and to the testing and validation of the unit.
The Noxmaster’s filtrations system removes up to 99.5% of Nitrogen Dioxide and up to 75% of harmful particulate matter (PM2.5). Exposure to NOX and PM2.5 reduces life expectancy through a range of diseases including lung cancer, dementia and diabetes. Noxmaster delivers clean, filtered air into urban homes, improving the indoor air quality to within safe levels, as recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Wayne Glover, Managing Director at Nuaire, said: ‘This category is always hard-fought and we were up against some tough competition in Panasonic, Daikin and Flaktgroup on the night. Winning is a fantastic achievement; innovation is one of Nuaire’s core values and is promoted from the factory floor to the highest level of management and this award is a testament to the forward-thinking and design innovation of our staff.’
