Opus 30 & 60 Product Specifications
OperationThe extract fans shall be as indicated on the drawings and shall be in accordance with the particular fan schedule in this specification. The vitiated air shall be extracted from each area via ductwork as shown. All necessary ductwork fittings and ancillaries shall be allowed for by the mechanical sub contractor.
Ventilation system description
The wall/ceiling/duct mounted Twinfan(s) shall be a manufactured from VO rated flame retardant plastic. The fan shall be of the OPUS type supplied complete with automatic fan changeover in the event of failure, fan failure is sensed via a “hall effect” airflow sensor. The unit shall also have integrated magnetic backdraught shutters, pre-configured control module, integrated washable filters (not duct mounted version) and purpose made mounting bracket. The control module and blower assembly shall be provided in a maintenance friendly single piece with quick release clips. The fan motors shall be thermally protected. The surface mounted version shall have run and failure indication on the facia of the unit (RA and BA versions). The 12 volt version shall come complete with 230 – 12 volt transformer.
Fan shall have a manufacturers 3 year warranty.
Fan shall be of the Opus type as manufactured by Nuaire Ltd.
Fan control option
The fan shall be controlled by one of the following integrated options
- S version – Fan will run at full speed and will run on for a pre-set time (2 – 30 mins) when switched off
- X version – Continuous run at pre-set low speed with boost to high speed via switch live connection e.g. lightswitch
- RA/BA – Failure indication on facia of unit.
- 230-PIR - (passive infra-red) movement detector (includes run-on timer), 2-30 mins).
- 230-PIRNT - (passive infra-red) movement detector (without run-on timer)
- HUMISEN - Humidity sensor.
- 230-TSTATR – Room thermostat
- OPUS-RFI – Remote failure indication
Installation – By the appointed contractor.
Mechanical installation requires mounting of the extract unit in the designated position and connection to the associated duct work. The contractor shall allow for all necessary ductwork transformations to and from the fan unit and any associated components in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations, DW 144 and general good practice.
Electrical installation requires the provision and connection of single or three phase electrical supply at the fan. If the 12 volt OPUS 30 is used a 230v single phase supply to the transformer feeding the fan is required, the 12V output of which is connected to the fan.
The fan and ancillaries are to be as manufactured by Nuaire Ltd.
