Controlled Ventilation Damper
OperationThe Nuaire Controlled Ventilation Damper (CVD) shall be configured and arranged as detailed in the drawings, and in accordance with the schedule of equipment.
The CVD, when incorporated in a suitably constructed constant pressure type ventilation system, shall be capable of maintaining the ventilation rate associated with the treated space to within 2l/s of the pre-set value.
The CVD shall incorporate a precision MEMS air flow sensor and an embedded closed-loop control strategy that varies the position of an internal damper via a precision engineered lead-screw mechanism and low power motor.
In order to effect an efficient commissioning process, the controller shall include provision for manual setting of the design trickle and boost flow rates within the model limits, and for setting a “run-on” time via a series of readily accessible potentiometers.
The CVD shall incorporate readily accessible terminals for mains power and controls connections.
In operation, the signal to change to boost mode may be supplied via a “switched live” input from for example, a parallel lighting or other mains circuit, or via a dedicated low voltage PIR occupancy sensor.
Quiet operation at the lower end of the duty range shall be achieved by the use of a graduated sealing mechanism.
Fan specification
The unit casing shall be manufactured in high density ABS (CVD100) or heavy gauge galvanised steel (CVD 125-200), and shall incorporate robust mounting points, provision for cable entry, and ductwork connection spigots as detailed in the drawings.
The CVD unit shall be supplied with Nuaire’s 3 year standard warranty (first year parts and labour, years 2 and 3 parts only).
All equipment shall be as manufactured By Nuaire Ltd. Patent pending.
