Five months after its launch, Nuaire’s first official company blog has earned itself a nomination in the Construction Marketing Awards (CMA) 2014.
The Nuaire Blog has been shortlisted for the Best Construction Blog award after taking part in a live online vote for over a month. It joins 10 other construction blogs in the finals; each one judged on its design, content, interaction and strategic integration with wider marketing goals.
As a leading ventilation manufacturer, Nuaire’s blog team have concentrated on topics that are currently affecting the construction industry and housing sectors, such as solving acoustic problems, reducing energy, curing condensation, and how to meet building regulations. Others have opted to give technical advice on Nuaire’s latest products, or just blog about issues they feel strongly about.
Nuaire’s Marketing Communications Manager, Alex Gallop explained: “We are delighted to be included in such a high profile competition, especially as the Blog was only launched this summer. Our goal for the blog is to share the views, opinions and voices of real people within Nuaire. Often the messages shared with the media and customers through PR, digital and print content and even Social Media, tend to be from a corporate perspective. We wanted to put the spotlight on people within the company that have unbelievable expertise and knowledge on subjects that our customers are interested in or want advice on.
“The blog is our way of giving individuals the opportunity to say what they think. None of our writers are from a marketing or editorial background, and all were virgin bloggers. It has been a leap of faith for the Board of Directors and even the bloggers themselves, but being shortlisted for this award is, in itself, proof that this activity has real merit.”
Now in their 14th year, the Construction Marketing Awards is a prestigious competition run by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Construction Industry Group (CIMCIG), which works on behalf of members to raise the status of the marketing profession within the construction industry. The awards will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, The gala awards dinner presentation will take place on December 3, at the Radisson Blu on Portman Square in London.
