As many as 40,000 deaths each year are being caused by exposure to air pollution, with rising nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5) from traffic fumes being the major culprit. Nuaire has designed a new range of carbon filters to help protect home owners from rising air pollution levels in traffic-congested towns and cities.
Third party testing verifies that the IAQBOX range of products will remove up to 99.5% of NO2 from the air brought in to properties via an MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) system. This level of filtration is unrivalled in the UK market. It also removes chemicals produced through industrial processes and burning fossil fuels, as well as filtering out strong odours.
The IAQBOX is available in in two sizes, IAQBOX-S (single) and IAQBOX-D (double), for flexibility of project specification and install. The double width unit is an industry first with a greater surface area to remove even more pollutants. Also the unique offering of two outlet spigots allows for simpler duct runs to the ‘living’ areas, such as bedrooms and sitting rooms, which this unit supplies fresh air to.
Single width unit: IAQBOX-S (carbon filter only), IAQBOX-S-PM10 (carbon filter plus PM10 pre-filter) and IAQBOX-S-PM2.5 (carbon filter plus PM2.5 pre-filter).
Double width unit: IAQBOX-D (carbon filter only), IAQBOX-D-PM10 (carbon filter plus PM10 pre-filter) and IAQBOX-D-PM2.5 (carbon filter plus PM2.5 pre-filter).
The unit code will be displayed on the product label, found on the front panel of the unit. This will determine what pre-filters, if any, the unit was originally purchased with. Should you wish to add pre-filters on to the standard model this can be done by removing the inserts within the foam lining.
