Positive Input Ventilation, or PIV, is a trusted alternative to continuous mechanical ventilation which meets building regulations - and is still the most cost-effective method of whole-house ventilation.
Nuaire has unveiled the next generation of its iconic Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) range. The new and innovative Drimaster Eco range has been specifically designed with housebuilders and developers in mind when designing ventilation within their housing projects.
Drimaster-Eco can eliminate background ventilators in 2 storey homes of over 120 m/3, resulting in a very cost effective means of ventilation particularly in homes to be developed on sites affected by external noise.
The new range is designed to simplify installation for the contractor – it takes less than one hour by just one tradesman, with no external core cutting, no duct runs and minimal disruption. This saves both time and money during the works programme, and at the same time ensures the most robust and effective ventilation system is in place.
Nuaire has taken its reliable and proven technology to the next level by introducing new features such as wireless controls and sensors – marking a new direction for PIV. These features give occupants control over the comfort of their own home ensuring a healthy living environment is being maintained and at the same time protecting the fabric of the building.
Occupants will also appreciate the newly designed sleek, modern, circular supply diffuser – the only part of the ventilation system that is visible to them.
The effectiveness of PIV has been proven by countless research studies over the past 40 years, and this popular ventilation principle is supported by a BBA certificate and recognised as an alternative method within building regulations. PIV is also one of only three solutions to significantly reduce harmful Radon gas levels for homes in affected areas.
