Case Study - Destratification – Maximum Performance, Minimum Effort
Norbord Ltd, part of an international wood based panel producing company was facing problems with excessive heat at roof level in their manufacturing plant in Devon. This was slowing the manufacturing process due to a lack of even temperature across product ranges.To find a solution to the problem they turned to the Internet to research a potential solution.
Discovering the “Ecostrat” destratification fan on the Nuaire Group’s website, Justin Smyth, Project Manger for Norbords discovered that it answered all his requirements: Very even distribution or air, no draughts at working level, simple to install and easy to maintain.
In fact, the Ecostrat fan is so easy to install that Norbord’s used their own staff to install the units!
Two units were installed in the manufacturing area and early indications are that the manufacturing process has improved. In addition there is no wasted heat at high level and less than 2 degrees temperature differential from floor to ceiling whereas previously there had been a huge difference in temperature.
